05: Ruinous Crypt (Lv2) - FAILED AGAIN...
Notable Events:
The Wyld Stallyns returned to Gloomhaven to tool up and get ready for
City Event: We stumbled upon a pie eating contest in Gloomhaven. Harvey did his best impression of the pizza rat and ate, and ate, and ate pies. The humiliation cost us each a Check (luckily we had none to lose) but earned us 10 Gold and + 2 Reputation. The townspeople were impressed.
Road Event: En route to Ruinous Crypt, traveling through the underbrush of the forest, a swarm of small animals bolted past us. Neither that, nor the smell and sight of smoke would stop the pie-stuffed Stallyns. They walked right into a fire, and it wasn't good. (-3 HP; + Wound; -1 Check)
We failed scenario 05 yet again. You have to wonder why we went back for this one. All the chests had been looted! It seems like maybe if we can't beat The Cult of the Gloom, we might want to join them.
Living Bones apparently might not move very much - at least 4 turns in a row we drew a +2 Shield, +2 HP for the Bones, while waiting for them to walk into our room. So they stayed put, made it impossible to connect any damage, and healed all at once. That cost us the game so Beware.
DON'T STAND BY AND WAIT FOR LIVING BONES!!
